Students new to Beckendorff
If you have moved into the Beckendorff attendance zone over the summer and wish to join orchestra, please contact Ms. Williams at [email protected] for placement in the correct class.
Beginning Orchestra Students
If you are enrolled in the beginning orchestra class for the fall of 2026, please attend the orientation meeting on Tuesday, April 14th at BDJH at 6:30 pm.Orchestra at BDJH includes the violin, viola, cello and bass. Instruments are assigned on a first come first served basis. You will sign up using sign up genius. Watch your email for the link that will be sent out on Wednesday, April 15th at 6 pm.
Non beginning students:
Auditions are due on Thursday, April 16th. Use the link above to upload your audition.
Private Lessons:
Those interested in private lessons from a studio teacher, please click here for a list of instructors.

Additional information:
Due to the large number of students, there are now 7 different levels of orchestra. Audition music is grouped the following way: Honor and Sinfonia candidates prepare the same music, Lyrica and Philharmonia candidates prepare the same music, and Camerata and Arietta candidates prepare the music for the particular orchestra they wish to be considered for. Review the audition requirements found in the doucment section of this webiste for a list of skills needed for each orchestra. There is no audition for FYO (beginning students).
